Bill has over 13 years of experience providing both public and private companies with a wide range of financial reporting and auditing services. He specializes in assisting non-attest public company clients meet the scoping, implementation, documentation, remediation and reporting requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX 404). He also assists clients with business planning, mergers and acquisitions, and capital formation issues. Using a strategic approach, Bill has helped clients to link operational processes to key financial data, resulting in an improved bottom line.
Bill serves as the National Director of Public Company Advisory Services for
HEIN & ASSOCIATES LLP. He has developed a focus in the energy, manufacturing and distribution, and information and communications industries.
Bill is a frequent speaker on topics such as SOX 404, Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (FASB), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). He has also authored articles on FIN 44 and SOX 404, and is actively involved in preparing and presenting Continuing Professional Education seminars provided by HEIN & ASSOCIATES LLP.
Prior to joining HEIN & ASSOCIATES LLP, Bill was an Audit Supervisor with KPMG. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), and the Denver Business Forum. Bill proudly serves his community through his involvement on the executive committee for Colorado SIDs and as a mentor for WIZ Kids. He received his B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Colorado. |
